Filmmaker Michael Allcock is on a worldwide search to discover why he and millions on this planet are terrified by the simple act of dancing. His exploration takes him back to the dreaded high-school dance, continuing through a look at how various cultures perceive dance – from sexual expression to spiritual revelation. The film reveals a rare glimpse into a world rarely seen—rife with spirituality, sex, robots, stereotypes, virtual reality, and a deadly Medieval plague.

In the end, Fear Of Dancing will attempt to make sense of what it means to be human through the simple act of dancing—or not.
